A successful, multi-Grammy-winning record producer in his own right, John Carter Cash has reached into the extensive family archives to produce a memoir of a father who he says was “of steadfast faith, and an open book in so many ways. But he was also a very deep and even mysterious man, intriguing and unpredictable.”
Featuring many color and black and white photos, as well as numerous removable keepsake facsimile documents, HOUSE OF CASH is a memoir, biography, and deeply personal remembrance of the man beneath the black. From his roots, it records Cash’s early hardscrabble life in Arkansas and progress into adulthood, through his military service and growing abilities as a performer. It also includes a large number of unpublished photographs, poetry and songs, master tapes dating back to the mid-50s, sketches, film reels, audio tape mixes, and so much more.
