Remembering Johnny’s Friend, Elizabeth Taylor

Iconic actress Elizabeth Taylor passed away at age 79 on Wednesday March 23rd. There have been many stories about Elizabeth’s career, life and charitable causes, but Rosanne Cash offered an amusing memory of Liz. On Twitter, Rosanne wrote, “Every year Elizabeth Taylor sent my dad a telegram (yes, telegram) for his birthday. It said: ‘Remember, I’m younger than you!’ (by 1 day).” Johnny was born on February 26, 1932, and Liz was born the next day. Rosanne added, “Isn’t that cute? I was with him one time when it arrived. He chuckled and showed me, said ‘she sends this every year.'”
