In the September 11th issue of Billboard magazine, Rosanne Cash talks about how she became closer with her legendary dad, Johnny Cash, in the last decade of his life. Noting how she sang with him during his last performance at Carnegie Hall, she said, “My dad worked out a lot of his stuff in the spotlight … Even though he was a great artist, in private moments he didn’t open up about his feelings. He was a tough guy with huge soul. That was the way he kind of got his feelings out in those moments, and it was very beautiful.” Rosanne is currently promoting her successful memoir, “Composed,” at book signings and is playing concert dates. She told the magazine, “It’s kind of a bittersweet thing because I wish so much that they [her parents] were here to see me do this.”
