The city of Folsom is set to open the completed Johnny Cash Trail on October 14th of this year. The trail is set to be the future path of a public art walk as well as a three acre park featuring a guitar-shaped plaza confirmed to be completed within the next five years. This is the town’s first formal tribute to Johnny Cash. As an advocate for prison reform, Cash performed “Folsom Prison Blues” at Folsom Prison, which became one of his most iconic performances.
