Johnny Cash’s At Folsom Prison album was released 50 years ago this May. Rolling Stone has combined never-before-published interviews with three witnesses to the Folsom Prison shows: Marshall Grant, W.S. “Fluke” Holland, and Jim Marshall, who re-trace Cash’s steps into California’s Folsom Prison and resurrect his and June Carter’s unbridled performances for the men who seemed to count Cash as one of their own.
