The Night Rider was an unsold TV pilot for a Western anthology series called Galloway House. Here, Johnny Cash portrays Johnny Laredo, a gunfighter who resolves to reform his outlaw ways after a fateful encounter. Merle Travis joins Cash onscreen as a cowhand.
